Section 274
Instruments of measuring, weighing or determining quality shall not be used fraudulently
(1) When someone uses a measuring, weighing or quality determining instrument in the course of any business, transaction or business, fraudulently uses such instrument in a way that exceeds the measurement, weight or level determined in accordance with the law, with the help of any other instrument or measure. There should be no adverse influence on measuring, weighing or determining the quality of customs.
(2) A person who commits or causes an offense under sub-section (1) shall be imprisoned for up to three years and fined up to thirty thousand rupees.
